Okay so I've been putting together a first draft of what might be considered a concept. It's far from done (only initial stuff is there so far). But it might give ya'll a hint of what's inside my brain waiting to come out ;)
--------------------
Mechanum
The very instant that the player drops on the battlefield he can feel the heat. The sweat dripping from his forehead induced by the giant steampowered engine right behind his back.
The thick black smoke from the dropship blows away as it lifts off into the sky again, and on one single command the squadron starts to move towards the checkpoint where reports of enemy encounters last came in from.
The sound is deafening as the mech slowly starts to move forward, squeeking and puffing. All of a sudden, a hissing sound followed by a big explosion. The sound of cannons as the enemy emerges up on the hill ahead, explosions everywhere around him. The battle begins...
.
.
Mechanum takes place in an alternative Europe of today where steampower is the technology used instead of our worlds electricity and computers. During industrialization of the world corporations gained more and more power as they were the developers and engineers of the dominating techniques of today.
As the corporations grew bigger and gained more power they started to take control over the governments and countries. With the influence of trade and money they started to take over whole countries from weak and immobilized governments.
This lead to a few big corporations being in control over a whole continent. The big corporations wanted more power in order to gain more money, invasion of other corporations land were a fact.
This first continental war is where the player comes in.
The two biggest corporations have been in war for over 15 years. During this time both have developed massive modular warmachines called steam mechanums wich are basicly giant, steampowered mechs able to carry a big range of weapons and accessories.

More fluff and technical stuff to come...
Features
- Fast paced strategical FPS battles between giant steam powered war machines
- Strategical battles where everything from choice of mech to the actual battle plan will matter
- Alternative cybersteampunk world
- Possibility to build and customize your own mechs from scratch
- Two different sides fighting for control over the "new empire"
- Close integration between a persistent online "out of the game" community and the actual game
--------------------
As you can see it's very brief but it's a start. As soon as I get my head around creating a media wiki all the documents and techy stuff will be transfered over to that system :)
